- R3/4 to R1 1/2
- Backwashable
- Automatic backwash system can be retrofitted
Usage
The backwash filters in the RFS series are used to retain undissolved substances, protect installations from corrosion, and prevent malfunctions in fittings, systems, devices, and machines. Filtered water is available during backwashing. Dirt particles cannot enter the pipe. A rotatable connection piece makes the filters suitable for vertical and horizontal pipe installation. The filters are DVGW-tested and have a filter fineness of 90-125 µm.
Functionality
The cold drinking water to be filtered is fed through the inlet connection to the outside of the vertically installed filter element. The water passes through the filter fabric, while particles larger than 95-140µm are retained. The filtered drinking water flows upwards in the center of the filter element and leaves the filter housing at the outlet connection.
The RFS backwash filters must be backwashed regularly if reductions in the filter element impair the flow rate. According to DIN EN 806, Part 5, backwashing is required every 6 months to ensure correct operation of the RFS backwash filter.
The backwashing process is carried out manually. Alternatively, an automatic backwashing system, available as an accessory, can perform backwashing fully automatically at adjustable intervals.
