Usage

The DWF1-SXH series of hot water double softening systems ensure a continuous supply of softened hot water thanks to two filter tanks that operate alternately or remain on standby.
The amount of soft water withdrawn is measured fully automatically and transmitted to the microprocessor control system. Once the capacity is exhausted, regeneration is triggered for the filter in operation. At the same time, the system switches to the standby, regenerated filter tank. This means that soft water is available continuously without any interruption to operation.
DWF1-SXH systems are robust and reliable industrial systems. Sophisticated features such as stainless steel pressure tanks, the safety brine valve, and the screen bottom contribute to operational safety.
The systems are used wherever an uninterrupted supply of soft water must be ensured.

Functionality

To ensure an uninterrupted supply of soft water, one of the two filter tanks is always in operation, while the second filter tank is either being regenerated or is ready for use after regeneration. The amount of soft water extracted is recorded by a turbine meter and transmitted to the control system. Once the capacity of the container in operation has been exhausted, the control system automatically switches to the standby container. The exhausted filter container is then regenerated. A central control valve controls both the water flow through the containers and the regeneration phases:

  • Backwashing
  • Salting/Slow washing
  • Washing out
  • Refill the salt dissolving container
